Easter
Easter is about Jesus rising from the dead.
Jesus overcame death.
His mission revealed the true nature of our Creator as loving and forgiving.
His message instructed us to forgive others, no matter what, which clears the way for love to flow through us.
We forgive in order to be forgiven.
Matthew 6:14-15 states, “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Jesus dying on the cross showed us how to forgive those who trespass against us.
Jesus showed us that we can forgive anyone under any conditions, as He did, so that we can follow the number one commandment, which is to love others as ourselves.
Forgiveness unlocks love.
We must first forgive so that we can love.
That is the truth that sets us free.
We must continually forgive those who trespass against us, so that we can continue to love others.
Forgiveness that enables love moves us from darkness to light, from death to life.
